If you were offline in the past week, you missed a lot of updates launched by Apple as well as Google. First thing first. Google has launched Android Lollipop, Android TV, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and more others. The second is Apple. Past week was the golden week for Apple lovers. Apple has launched and updated several new gadgets including iMac, Mac Mini, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 and so on.

If you do not like native email client for Mac, I am sure that you are a Sparrow fan. To compete with Sparrow, Dropbox has launched Mailbox beta for Mac. Although, the beta version of official Mailbox app was launched back in August but that time it was only for couple of people for review purpose. However, now, anybody can download the beta version of Mailbox app for Mac OS X.

Tumblr

Tumblr for MacAlthough, Tumblr is not a competitor of other CMS i.e. WordPress etc. but still it is much popular among random people to create a portfolio. Previously, the official Tumblr app was available for some major mobile platforms like Android, iOS etc. Now, you can download the official Tumblr app for your Mac. Actually, this dedicated Tumblr app is available for OS X 10.10 aka OS X Yosemite. The user interface is pretty good and uncluttered. You can share common media files like image, video etc. on Tumblr right from your hard drive. This is also possible to share your post on different social media websites i.e. Facebook, Twitter etc.

LineLine for iPad

When it comes to instant messaging app, some apps like WhatsApp, WeChat, Viber, Line etc. comes first in mind. Although, the Line app was available for Android, iPhone etc. but iPad users were far away from using it. But, now, you can download the official Line app on your iPad. There is couple of drawbacks of this app. You cannot create a new Line account using it. This is also not possible to use the voice and video call feature either. All you can do is send free text message, voice message etc. This app is available for iOS 7.0 and later versions.

Flickr

Flickr for iPadPreviously, the Flickr usage was limited but now different types of people are using it. Today’s image seekers make search in Flickr to find royalty free images for any project or blog post. This Yahoo owned image-sharing company has launched their dedicated app for iPad. According to some people, this app is the larger version of Flickr for iPhone. Actually, the iPad version of Flickr is same in terms of visual design, features and all other options. But, you will get a better view from iPad than iPhone. You supposed to have iOS 8.0 or later version to download Flickr for iPad.
