In iPhone 6, you will get iOS 8, the latest OS that belongs to iOS family. According to Apple, this iOS 8 is far better than previous OS. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which is also not bad. However, you should note that Android KitKat 4.4.2 is not the latest version of KitKat family. The latest update of Android KitKat is Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

When it comes to no nonsense UI iOS is the best, but if you are looking for more customisations and control then go for S5. If you can root your device and play with various ROMS, then you should definitely consider S5.

CPU and GPU

You will get Apple A8 chipset along with Dual-Core 1.4 GHz Cyclone CPU and PowerVR GX6650 GPU in Apple iPhone 6. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with Qualcomm MSM8974AC Spandragon 801 chipset along with Quad-Core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU.

Both are equally good, when it comes to gaming and daily tasks you will hardly notice the difference.

Though on paper iPhone RAM may seem low, with the optimised operating system and the absence of bloated apps makes it is as fast as S5 may be even faster. But if you do not want to use any memory card to expand the memory storage of your phone, you can purchase iPhone 6 because you will get it in three different versions i.e. 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. But Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and you can expand this storage up to 128GB using memory card.
