The Korean consumer electronics giant Samsung has announced the launch of Galaxy S III Mini to be on October 11 in Germany. The news was confirmed by JK Shin, head of Samsung Mobile Communication,who said that the company is set to launch a 4-inch version of the S III, dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini.
“We’ll be launching a 4-inch Galaxy S III on the 11th in Germany. There’s a lot of demand for a 4-inch screen device in Europe. Some call it an entry-level device, but we call it mini,” JK Shin told Korean media.
No other details were released about the much rumored Galaxy-S III Mini . However it’s rumored to feature Super AMOLED screen with WVGA resolution, a dual-core processor, a 5 megapixel rear camera. The device is said to target the audience which doesn’t enjoy holding those large cellphones next to their ears.The device is also expected to be priced lower.
Along with Mini Samsung is also rumored to launch a much larger version of its flagship android device Galaxy S-II. It’s rumored to feature 4.5-inch WVGA AMOLED display, a 8-megapixel camera.And would be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM.
