Google Chrome Vs SRWare Iron : Browser Battle For The Fastest And More Reliable Browser

Google Chrome may be the fastest browser in terms of site rendering, sleek design and hell lot of features. But it does have a lot of drawbacks. One of the most common problems which Google Chrome users face is the multiple processes used by Google Chrome to run different plugins along with different tabs. Another thing which I personally hate is the amount of memory resources which Google Chrome uses for a single tab or process. But the problem which many Google Chrome users are not aware of and the same reason why most developers and computer enthusiast hate Google Chrome is the fact that it submits most of your browsing data to Google for a better search generation or search experience.

After using a lot of browsers since my childhood, I pretty much like Google Chrome for its sleek interface and faster site rendering. I personally don’t like sharing my search data with Google or any search engine, but the amount of bugs Firefox showed me for the past 7 years and the slow motion internet experience Internet Explorer showed in my childhood, I had to stick with Google Chrome for a while now.

I started looking for an alternative to Google Chrome which has the sleek design & interface, and fast site rendering like Google Chrome minus all the bad stuffs Google Chrome comes packed with.

When I used SRWare Iron Browser, it looked like Google Chrome to me. It has the same interface and design like Google Chrome and also renders sites quite fast. SRWare Iron Browser is a browser-based on the Chromium-source and offers the same features as Chrome, minus the critical concern regarding privacy.

Just to be sure, SRWare is what its states. I tried running a simple but helpful comparative test between Google Chrome and SRWare Iron Browser. The test comprises of running three websites namely TechyFuzz (my website), Tech Bulletin (this website), and the official site of SRWare Iron Browser.

After opening all three website in both browsers, I tried to look at the number of processes and memory usage of both the browsers.

Google Chrome

Total Number of Processes = 10

Total Memory Usage = 231616 KB

SRWare Iron

Total Number of Processes = 7

Total Memory Usage = 141880 KB

As you can see SRWare Iron is not only protects your personal information from Google, but also goes low on CPU and Memory resource usage. On top of that all the Google Chrome plugins works with SRWare browser.

SRWare Iron Browser works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. It works well on both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. I personally tested it on Windows 7 x64.

Closing Words: Google Chrome may be one of the fastest browsers when it comes to site rendering, but it also one of the most hated browser among daily internet users. So if you don’t want to give your personal information and search information to Google just for the name of better search experience try shifting to SRWare Iron browser.

For me, Iron is slow, unreliable, and often messes-up downloads. There seems to be a shocking lack of available plugins. Srware don’t seem to respond to complaints, either. I think the duckduckgo search engine is good, though – I’ll stick with that.

Bull hockey! SRWare Iron crashes constantly with multiple tabs, yet GC does NOT! And, what is wrong with giving information to my search engine? It only enhances my search experience! It does NOT cause me to recieve spam, snail mail nor adverts or random e-mails or anything bad at all!

I don’t think so. SRWare hasn’t crashed on me once. And it isn’t just spam, it’s also how Google knows what you like to do, where you live (if you decide to trust Google with that information or if it just figures it out itself), how old you are, and so much more. And all that can be found by piecing your search engine queries together. Are you sure you want Google to know that? I am typing this reply in SRware Iron myself, and I know how much it has benefited me.
