Google recently launched its flagship tablet named the Google Nexus 10. Apple too launched its latest version of the iPad, which is the iPad 4th Generation. Both the tablets from its makers are the premium tablets with a near 10 inch screen size. Here in this post we will compare the tablets and see which tablet is the best one to invest your money on.

There might be lots of awesome gadgets in the world, but the main thing that determines its availability in your hand is its price. So accordingly Apple’s iPad 4 comes with a price tag of  $499 and goes up to $899 where as the Nexus 10 is priced at $399 for the 16 GB version and the 32 GB version goes for $499. Clearly in case of the price tags, Nexus 10 beats the Apple iPad 4.

The screen of a tablet is one of the most important part of the device and is responsible for everything what you see. A better screen ensures a good experience. Apple iPad has a screen size of 9.7 inches whereas the Google Nexus 10 has a screen size of 10.1 inch. Next we come to the screen resolution. iPad 4 features a 2048×1536 pixel resolution and 264 pixels PPI and the Google Nexus 10 has a resolution of  2560×1600 and 300 PPI. So as we can see that, the Google Nexus 10 in terms of its screen specifications beats the iPad 4’s screen is all terms, may it be screen resolution, screen size or pixel density.

Apple iPad 4 is powered by the new A6x dual core processor clocked at 1.4 Ghz. It is supported by a 1 GB of RAM. Google Nexus 10 is way ahead than this. Nexus 10 has Samsung 1.7GHz Exynos 5 Dual-Core CPU. It is supported by a huge 2 GB RAM. Clearly in case of processing power Google Nexus 10 again beats the iPad 4.


Both the devices have a rear and front camera. Apple iPad 4 features a front FaceTime HD camera  of 1.2MP and which can shoot full 720P video. It also features a 5MP iSight rear camera. The Google Nexus 10 has a front camera of 1.9 MP and a 5 MP rear camera.

Operating System

Google Nexus 10 comes up with the updated version of Jelly Bean which is the Android 4.2. It features Multiple User Accounts, Improvised Gallery, and lots of quick settings. It also has the improved Google Now. While the iPad 4 comes up with the latest iOS 6 . It features with world famous Siri, the personal assistant. But iOS 6 is facing some problems with the Maps application. Previously Apple had removed the Google Maps from its OS.

Selecting the OS is a matter of personal selection. If you like customization and full control over your device, Android is the way to go else iOS is for you.
