google+1-buttonInternet is all about sharing knowledge. With the advent of the Social Media, ‘knowledge sharing’ is seeing new innovations  each day. The latest in this trend is Google +1 button by the search engine giant Google itself. The +1 button is shorthand for “this is pretty cool” or “you should check this out.”

The +1 button was rolled out in March, giving users the ability to recommend content to your friends and contacts directly from Google search results and ads.In order to +1 things, you first need a public Google profile. This helps people see who recommended.Your +1’s are stored in a new tab on your Google profile. You can show your +1’s tab to the world, or keep it private .

Back there at Google researchers found that very often people tried to +1 a Page on internet and thus Google has recently rolled out +1 for websites. Now you can easily recommend a page from a website to your friend and your connections in your email account can easily find it in Google searches. This feature is quite similar to that of a Facebook ‘Like’ or Twitter ‘Tweet’. .You’ll also start to see +1 buttons on other Google properties such as Android Market, Blogger, Product Search and YouTube.

When a signed-in Google user is searching, your Google search result snippet may be annotated with the names of the user’s connections who’ve +1?d your page. If none of a user’s connections has +1?d your page, your snippet may display the aggregate number of +1?s your page has received.
