If you own an Android smartphone, then you might have noticed that most of your internal storage space is taken up by the operating system and the system apps and you are left with very little space. The thing that you don’t know is that some of this storage space is taken up by useless junk like system trash, useless APKs and image thumbnails that are of no use on your device.
So in order to increase the internal storage space of your smartphone, you need to delete all these system trash. Now the question is how these trash appears in the first place? Whenever you install any apps or games and you use it for a while, the data files will be stored in your internal storage and some of it even on the SD card. Now when you uninstall the app, these data files still remain on your device in most cases.
These are the trash files that take up your storage space. Also there are image thumbnails being created on your smartphone which, according to me, are of no use. I have deleted them and faced no problem so I would recommend you to do it too. So here’s how you can delete system trash from your smartphone and at the same time boost the functions.
How to Delete System Trash from Android?
Since we don’t know which folders contain useless data, we will need to use an application called DU Speed Booster app. The app is free and you can download it from Google Play Store.
Once you have installed the application and open it, you will see some options on the dashboard of the app – Accelerator, Trash Cleaner, App Manager, Speed Test, Security and Battery Saver. We have to select the Trash Cleaner option and once you click on it, you will see that the app will start scanning for the junk files like cache files, system trash and useless APKs.
You can select the files that you want to delete and the ones that you don’t want to. By default, the system trash is not selected as it contains the Gallery thumbnails. You can select that options too to save a lot of memory and once done, click on the Clean button on the bottom of the screen.
All the junk files will be deleted from your smartphone. Then you can click on the Finish button to return to the home screen of the app.
Note: The system trash like Gallery Thumbnails are not permanently deleted so you will have to delete them regularly to save the storage space.
How to Speed Up Your Android Smartphone?
Now that you have deleted the trash from your phone, you can accelerate your device to increase the RAM of your Android. To do this, you can click on the Accelerator tab on the home screen of the app and once the scan is complete, click on the Accelerate button on the bottom. This will free most of the RAM of your smartphone.
Now you have freed most of the RAM, you need to give your device a boost. To do that, you have to come back to the dashboard of the application and you will see a big meter on the dashboard displaying a number and saying “Boost Needed”.
Click on the meter itself and it will clean the trash automatically, kill all the running apps and also forbid the auto-start applications to improve the performance of your device. Click on the Finish button and you are done.
So this was how you can use a simple application like DU Speed Booster and delete system trash and boost the performance of your Android smartphone at the same time. If you are facing any difficulties or you have some suggestions then do share them with us via the comments section below.
