If you were waiting for today to have a look at Google’s latest Nexus devices, then you’d be disappointed to hear that the event has been cancelled. Google told event invitees about the cancellation by sending them an email past Saturday, which read,

“We are cancelling our Monday morning event in New York due to Hurricane Sandy. We will let you know our plans as soon as we know more. Stay safe and dry, The Android Team.”

So, because of Hurricane Sandy, Google has been forced to postpone their Android event to an unspecified date. It was rumoured that Google would unveil several new Nexus devices in the event, including Nexus 4 Smartphone (manufactured by LG) and Nexus 10 tablet (made by Samsung).

There’s another Smartphone event scheduled for today, this one will unveil compete features of Windows Phone 8 and Microsoft’s plans regarding the same. If you’re interested, the event will take place at 10:30 PM (IST), and you can read all the updates at The Verge.
