Micromax the Indian mobile manufacturer which is now known well in international markets listed another addition to Canvas 2  line up last month on their official website but the phone got listed on e-commerce stores yesterday.

Well, what is new about the device? umm.. I would say Nothing. Micromax has again just followed their old method of launching new devices with just minor changes. This time what they really added is just different back panel colors and a slightly edited Android interface.

if we talk about the specifications that can be a attractive point for some of the people out there. The phone comes with a HD display with 1280*720 pixels resolution. The attractive piece of the device is 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor. It also comes with 1 gigs of RAM and 4 GD of internal storage.

The thing i always like by Micromax on their devices is the camera quality. If they provide 8 Mega pixels then it is really worth it. The primary shooter on the device is 8 Mega pixels with a supportive LED flash light. The device is also added with 2 Mega pixels secondary shooter. Both the primary as well as secondary camera capture HD videos and primary shutter comes with Auto focus technology.

The device is added with all the basic sensors including Proximity Sensor and motion sensor. Company says that the device is having enough battery backup to last full day with 7 hours of talk time.

The device will come with additional back panels of different colors that really add meaning to its name. The different set of colors for back panels include blue, green, red, yellow and some other. Since the device was earlier in market before getting listed there are come back covers also available in market and at Ebay as well.

Who is the competition for Canvas 2 Colors? 

Xolo Q1010  is the best opponent for the device. Well, both the devices features same specs sheet and processor but the ‘One Glass Solution’ technology takes over the HD screen of Micromax Canvas 2 Colors. But Canvas 2 colors is also not much far behind. The Micromax’s Canvas 2 colors takes over the Xolo’s Q1010 at the price at which it is available right now.

The price for Xolo Q1010 is Rs. 12,000 nearly.     @Meenal – First if your warranty is about to expire or already over you can ‘Root’ your android device. Its very easy and simple to do. After that you can install ‘Greenify’ names application from playstore. That helps to save a lot of battery. rest of the methods are just useless.

      • Use a black wallpaper
      • Reduce screen brightness, or at least use auto brightness
      • Don’t add too many anti virus softwares, scans drain battery very quickly
      • Disable auto sync, when battery is below 40%
      • If you frequently goto places where you don’t get reception, then disable auto sync. This drains out lot of energy.
      • Keep watching which apps are using more energy, see if you can find an alternate app for the same purpose which uses lesser energy.
