Micromax, the Indian mobile manufacturer is again in raging talks just after the launch of its first ever device which is price at Rs. 24,000 with online retail partner Infibeam. The device joined the list of the most leaked devices long back However, Micromax has made another big step into the competitive mobile market and has made the device available for those consumers who are looking for a premium feel within a mid-range device.
However, currently the device has been launched only in Gold color and there are no confirmations that the device will go on sale in other color variants as well because the name itself describes the device’s texture .Micromax has just followed their own tradition for naming the smartphones according to the few new features present in their devices.
It won’t be wrong if we say that the design statement of Micromax Canvas Gold is adopted from iPhone 5s Gold. Some might not agree with me because Micromax has earlier introduced devices with similar styles and designs for example Micromax Canvas Doodle 2.
Apart from iPhone 5s the device is also giving a direct competition to Gionee S5.5 which holds the tag of world’s slimmest phone and also arrives in the Gold color variant . The specifications of the device are much different from Gionee s5.5 but the design catches the eye of every consumer now a days.
The device is not only a design pack but it also comes with a decent specifications within. The device features a 5.5 inch full HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The device features 16 MP primary shooter with LED flash and Auto focus. Canvas Gold also comes with 5 Mp secondary shooter with HD video recording. The device runs the stock Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box. OTA facility for the device is still unspecified. It is geared up with a decent 2 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592T processor and 2 gigs of RAM. It comes with 32 gigs of internal memory with SD card support.
The device is a big hit in terms of memory management as it comes with 2 gigs of RAM and 32 gigs of internal memory. Also the company has added SD card support which is a great feature. The device is expected to handle the high intensive graphic games very well. The processor on the device is clocked at only 2 GHz which presents it as somewhat unimpressive part. The display is also coming with decent range of pixels and quality which will be good as per IPS display.
