Micromax, the Indian mobile manufacturer has just launched their first ever smartphone based on Windows 8.1. However, earlier we covered the news regarding the launch of the devices in which The Geek Daily mentioned about the expected specifications and pricing for the device which came to be very true after the launch.
However, Micromax started rolling out the invites for the event on 14th of June 2014. As we had mentioned in our early reports that Micromax announced itself as the new Windows Phone manufacturer during MWC 2014 . And the promise that the company made at the event came to be very true.
Micromax has successfully launched its two first ever Windows Phone devices with different price ranges. However, both the devices are the budget devices and are directly launched in competition to Nokia’s recently launched Lumia 625 series.
However, the device has been directly launched with the latest version of the Windows phone from the Microsoft. Devices carry the same style statement like the previous editions of Micromax’s Canvas series does. However, the devices have been launched with a good amount of specifications that no other Windows Phone manufacturing company is offering.
The device comes with an average screen size of 4 inch with IPS display. Screen comes with 800 x 480 pixels resolution, so we can infer that the device is neither too good nor bad in terms of display. The display of the device is moderate for the normal functioning of the device.
The device is powered up with quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor which gives a huge massive power to the device at such an unbeatable price point. The device is quite interesting in terms of processing capabilities as the device can give massive competition to Microsoft’s own company Nokia.
The device comes with Windows 8.1 out of the box with same custom flavor of Windows directly from the Microsoft’s house. The device carries all the features that a Windows powered phone should come with. The OS is highly optimized for the better performance in all the aspects.
The device comes with 5 MP primary shooter with a good LED flash. The camera capabilities of the device is very good when compared to the other Windows devices at this price point ,so this can be proved as a cheer up reason for Micromax to beat the other’s sales in a market like India where people are much concerned with the pricing of the device when it comes to purchasing a budget device.
