Oppo N3 Review: First Look


Oppo is moving more rapidly into the mobile market with new mobiles introducing in a duration of just 6 months – 1 year. Once again, it captured the market eye balls with the new release of N3 smart phone with a motorized rear camera of 16MP, which makes it more tempting to own one and this also can be called as the successor to its old model N1 sports.

Coming to its specifications Oppo N3 have a 5.5 inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels which brings 403 pixels per inch (a bit lesser than Google nexus 6 pixel count, but almost equal pixel count of Apple iPhone 6) and weighing around 190 grams (a bit higher than the Nexus 6 and almost similar to iPhone 6) along with dimension of 161.22 x 77×9.9 mm. With this dimension N3 stood on one of the flagship android mobiles available in the market.

The core part of every mobile is its hardware specifications. Oppo N3 hardware specifications are really good. With a processor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 along with a speed of 2.5 GHz quad-core speed that makes N3 to come out of your pockets and make you work more in your daily life. With a ram of 2 GB inside this motorized camera phone makes your work easier and smoother. With an internal storage of 32 GB along with the phone and an expandable storage up to 128 GB (which can’t be seen in nexus 6 and iPhone 6).

Time to discuss on camera now. I know it’s a bit late to make you wait till now. With a rear camera of 16 MP in your hand along with a flash, this device comes with Schneider Kreuznach-certified lens along with a pixel size of 1.34 mm and has a sensor of size 1 by 2.3” (what if it goes in the hand of professional photographer?). This camera can be rotated and rotates around 206 degrees while capturing panoramas and your beautiful Selfies. This camera captures panoramas with a 64 MP resolution and camera comes with a fingerprint sensor in the vertebra part of mobile which helps in storing your images directly after capturing them with a swipe of your finger towards the left of right. The camera also records videos with a mid-range professional camera 4K video shooting with 30 frames per second, 1080p with 60 frames per second and 720p slow motion video with 120 frames per second.

N3 comes with a 3000 mAH Li-PO battery which is same as Nexus 6 battery power. Oppo introduced a new technology called VOOC with this mobile to increase rapid charging technology which helps you to charge your device within a time of 30 mins from 0-75%.

An NFC sharing inbuilt is added to this device along with Bluetooth 4.0 which helps in easy and fast transfer. A Wi-Fi connectivity of 802.11ac comes with this device, which can be seen almost in every device. NFC is an additional feature which is going to come with Google Android 5.0 version operating system named as Lollipop.

All these bundled specifications come with a retail off contract price of $649. Than’s quite a nice price for android flagship phones and Oppo wants to make this available in 20 countries worldwide by the end of 2014.
