Sometimes it is due to the other competitors in the market with a better specification or sometimes a manufacturer brings new smartphone in the industry or the upgraded version due to which the previous smartphone price’s are shed.

#1 – Apple iPhone 4S
iPhone 4S is an android based cellular smartphone that has been launched by Apple. This particular handset has been introduced with both 2G as well as 3G network which reflects the super speedy functioning of the cell phone together with its hi-tech features that offer a lot more exciting and splendid facilities which were never experienced before.
This cell phone is available in both GSM as well as CDMA technology. Not enough drop was seen but considerable it is a drop though. Thus a Rs 3K drop is seen in the case of Apple iPhone 4S.

This particular cell phone has a body dimension of 130.9 x 65 x 7.8 mm and carries a net weight of 119.5 gm.

But today if you see in November, the HTC One S price in India is around Rs 22500-Rs 24500. A huge Rs 10K price drop is seen in just 5 months after the launch of the HTC One S smartphone. Say it may be the reason as HTC launching too many smartphone in android cell network or say it may be the competitor like Sony Xperia NXT series.
#3 – HTC Sensation XE
The HTC Sensation XE is installed with android technology and has 3G network. It is provided with GPRS facility and has 8 MP (megapixel) camera. It has a Super AMOLED form of touch screen feature and has a 16M color mode. The cell phone has Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touch screen with 16 M colors.
Price Drop :– It is basically a touch screen smartphone and is priced at Rs 32400 – Rs 345000 in India at the time of its launch in July 2012. But the scenario is different today, prices have been shed to a greater extent. Today HTC Sensation XE price in India is Rs 23000-Rs 26000. A huge Rs 10K price has been dropped in nearly 5 months.
#4 – Apple iPhone 3GS
Launched in India in April, 2010, this particular handset introduced by Apple has changed the entire concept of cell phone usage. It has 3G network and offers 3.2 MP (megapixel) camera. It has an inner glass display portion that mainly upholds the images or pictures that have been taken with the handset.
Price Drop :- This particular smartphone is a touch screen handset and was launched for the first time in Indian telecom market at a price of Rs 34499. At the time of launch back in April, iPhone 3GS sold like a fire runs in forest but time has changed today and Apple iPhone 3GS today stands for only Rs15000-Rs18000 for a 8 GB version. After 2 years iPhone 3G is also available at meager Rs 9000 in some stores, thus indicate how much price have been dropped for this Apple smartphone.
#5 – HTC EVO 3D
HTC EVO 3D, an android oriented handset, was launched in India in September, 2011. It possesses a full capacitive touch screen and has a 3G Network. It is also provided with GPRS technology and has a 5MP (megapixel) camera with a very sharp picture clarity. The cell phone has Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touch screen with 16 M colors.
Price Drop :- It has been introduced at a price of Rs 32400 last year when it was launched. Today it is priced at around Rs24000, marking a Rs 8K price drop. HTC phones have seen the most price drop in a very small period of time as we can see from the comparison.
The main motive of writing this post is to tell our readers that how fairly android smartphone industry has changed. When it comes to processor, the display, the OS everything change with the time and as technology advances. But with the launch of new smartphone, what is affected the most is the price of previously launched android smartphone like we have seen the case with HTC and Apple iPhone flagship. Same is the case with Samsung Galaxy series but they haven’t been affected like HTC having a huge 10K drop.
