Samsung Galaxy Nexus Now Available in the UK

Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which was rumoured to be releasing in December is now finally available in the UK, albeit only at a couple of places.

Though currently only Phones4U and O2 have the Nexus in stock, it should soon become widely available across UK from November 21 onwards. Phones4U is offering the device both online and at its store in Oxford Street, London whereas O2 is selling it online on its official website for £529.

Clove is offering the Galaxy Nexus at the cheapest price (£515 contract-free) but the device will be in stock only from November 23. Amazon UK has listed the Galaxy Nexus for pre-order as well (£520), with a note that it is due to be released on December 2, 2011.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus sports a rather large 4.65-inch Super AMOLED Touchscreen and is powered by a Dual-Core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB RAM. Running on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, it comes with 16GB internal memory which ‘cannot‘ be expanded further since it has no slot for MicroSD cards.

The other features include a 5-Megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash & 1080p HD recording, Digital Compass, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi hotspot and DLNA. Many built-in apps such as Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk & Picasa are also pre-loaded in it.
