As a proud owner of these market dominating gadgets, I am here to share my first hand experience with Galaxy S2 and iPhone 4S and help you choose one.
Samsung Galaxy S2 vs iPhone 4S: Design
iPhone 4S Surface design is simple unbeatable. iPhone 4S is layered both sides with state of the art glass which makes it irresistible in looks. While, the S2 Sports a opaque fiber look which is a stereotype in many Smartphone designs but weighs lighter due to the plastic finish.
But it’s just my perspective, A better design is always the one which you find more appealing personally.
Samsung Galaxy S2 vs iPhone 4S: Display
I was a fan of iPhone’s Retina Display until the rival’s counterpart AMOLED screen caught my eye. Although iPhone offers a better resolution (960 x 640 – 800 x 480).
iPhone’s screen naturally will be brighter and allows side angle view without any loss of color.
Samsung Galaxy S2 vs iPhone 4S: Performance
Galaxy S2: Dual Core 1.2 GHZ ARM Cortex A9 Processor
iPhone 4S: Dual A5 Core Processor
Galaxy S2 and iPhone 4S didn’t really offer me a diverse performance and graphics. After my extensive hours of Gameplay with a lot of high-end games, there wasn’t any considerable difference in graphics, render speed and processing. I would incline slightly towards iPhone for a better gaming performance.
Coming to Web Surfing experience, Reading text was more visually appealing on the iPhone due to it’s unparalleled retina display. Page loading speed was better in the S2. iPhone doesn’t support Flash files which is a major drawback while the Android did decide to cut support for Flash files in the future versions
Samsung Galaxy S2 vs iPhone 4S: Camera
Both the devices boast a camera of resolution 8MP. The CMOS sensor of iPhone 4s makes it stand out of the league by offering a faster image processing speed and a better performance.
Samsung Galaxy S2 vs iPhone 4S: OS
Android vs iOS is one of the longest battles in the world of gadgets and technology. Both offer an intuitive interface which facilitates a better user experience.
Android has a larger library of apps compared to the iOS and doesn’t need any unlocking to allow external app installation. It was Siri which persuaded me into buying the iPhone
Samsung Galaxy S2 vs iPhone 4S: Verdict
Due it’s better Design and Display, I would title iPhone, the Winner. But if you consider the price factor, i would suggest to go with Galaxy S2 at the current market prices because the iPhone is pretty much outdated and still competes along side the latest high end phones in terms of price
If you decide to go with the 4S, better wait for the iPhone 5 since there would a great deal of demarcation in prices.
