A lot a smartphones have been introduced under the 10k price range with very good specs. The android revolution has given people the power of choice  Previously the budget market was captured by two brands namely Nokia and Samsung. But these days we see a lot of Indian Manufacturers like Micromax, Karbonn, Lava ruling the budget market.

This is a good thing as this increases the competitive environment for these companies and forces them to create better products at cheaper price. This enables us to buy great products without spending a fortune. So lets begin the list of smartphones under Rs 10k.

Micromax Ninja A89

So lets start with our own Indian Phone Maker, Micromax. With a fancy name like Ninja, micromax has tried to create a budget smartphone running Android and has so far been successful.  The Micromax Ninja A89 features a 1 GHz processor supported by 512MB of RAM. The RAM provided is decent enough for everyday use. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and it has a screen size of 4 inch (WVGA). It has a 3 MP rear camera. 2 GB internal memory has been provided for use and you can expand it upto 32 GB. At Rs 6,500 this phone is a great deal.

Micromax Ninja A89

If you are a brand conscious person and want to be the part of the Galaxy Series, Samsung Galaxy Music is the way to go. Though it’s not the best phone for the price you pay, but the brand value ensures you will get a good after sale service. It features a small 3 inch screen of QVGA resolution. The processor provided is a Cortex A9 clocked at 850 MHz. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has a 3 MP camera for photography. For the same price as Ninja A89, this might not be a great choice but for our fellow Samsung fans this might be a great option..

Running the latest Jelly Bean OS the Huawei Ascend Y300 is a great choice for JB lovers. It has a 4 inch screen of WVGA resolution. It features a 1 GHz Qualcomm ARM Cortex-A5 Dual Core Processor supported by 512 MB of RAM. It has a internal memory of 4 GB and you can expand the memory upto 32 GB. It has 5 MP rear camera and you also get a front facing camera of 0.3 MP .  For Rs 8000 this is a great choice.

If you love big screens, go for this phone.

The best thing is that it runs on the latest Android Jelly Bean. It has a rear camera of 3.2 MP. It has a internal memory of 4 GB and can be expanded upto 32 GB. So to conclude, its not the best phone out there, but a good phone for brand conscious people.

  1. The above mentioned Android devices are some of the best available in the market with a price tag less than 10K. These low end smartphones are really good for the beginners.
