Unlock BSNL 3G Modem

India finally has a good 3g coverage and many ISP are providing Internet through data card which use their SIM cards for pocket exchange and for making calls/SMS, most of the providers make their devices locked so that users can only use their SIM card to access the web. In this post we bring you a easy method to unlock your BSNL 3g modem so that you can use other SIM cards also to access the web. This is done by a application called V-cell, this application is sold ebay for 400rs but we bring you this for FREE! just follow the steps and unlock your device right now.

Step1 : head to this URL and download the application.

Step 2: Initially you need to change the default connection and use the proper APN. Click on the last icon on the top (settings)and choose Connection from the left hand side.

Step 3: you can refer internet or your mobile to find out the number and APN of your carrier (the screenshot below shows APN and number for airtel)

Step 4 : Now you need to change over to HSDPA mode (3G mode). If not you will revert back to EDGE speeds, for getting HSDPA signal you should be in 3G coverage area.

Step 5:  Now your signal becomes HSDPA and like before it shows your operator name below.

Step 6 : Now all the step-up part is over, just save the settings and hit connect and Enjoy 3G with other SIM cards.
